Project Scheduling
We joined a multi-disciplined project team to develop a telecommunications master plan and ten year action plan for a major electric utility department. Sweetwater provided project management support by optimizing the project schedule to increase critical design time, incorporate defined review cycles and identify opportunities for an early start of tasks to support the successful on-time delivery of the project.
Project Status Reporting
Sweetwater conducted weekly meetings to gather status of projects for the installation of communication towers and shelters, installation of fiber optic to new substations, installation of fiber optic on existing transmission towers and a planning study for a cross-town express reroute of fiber for a redundant feed to a new control center. We reported current scope, schedule and budget for the entire program of projects to keep the client abreast of status and to provide a communication tool to effectively resolve issues.
Project Budget Support
Sweetwater developed an intricate project schedule during the proposal stage that evolved into a dynamic scheduling and reporting tool for the project. We participated in periodic project status meetings, documented scope changes and reflected impact of changes in schedule. We provided task level progress updates to keep the client informed of progress. By tying all aspects of project scope change, schedule and budget impact, our team was able to efficiently support the client's responsibility of reporting to his management team.
